Notes
7-80 non cupative will of Susana Bristow of Guilford gives oldest son
Aaron to have double share & other chn (not named) to share the rest
equally.
27-7-1680 Richard Bristow of Guilford returns estate of Susanna Bristow
formerly Blatchlye to be disposed of acc to non-cup. will.
From "First Families of America"
James Owen Curtis, Jr. (b. 1615-d. Boston ca. 1634 on a trading trip) m.
Susanne Ball (Alling out of Boston, m. Dorothy), she m. 2nd Richard
Brislow (1637), 3rd m. to Thomas Blatchley (5 June 1643) - Children:
Aaron b. 1644, Moses b. 1650, Miriam b. 1652, and Abigail b. 1645 married
Edward Ball in 1662 and had children Caleb, Abigail, Joseph, Lydia, Moses
& Thomas.
Ref#110:
William BALL was the father of Alling; Francis; John; Samuel; Richard;
Col. William (who went to VA) and Susanna, who married Thomas BALTCHLEY.
The source for this comes from DR. Joseph DRUSE in a letter to me dated
1981, from "Putman's Hist". Mag. Vol III p. 244
So (if all of this is correct), the rumor of a connection (though
distant) to Geo. WASHINGTON becomes fact. Col. William BALL (who went to
VA) was brother of Susanna BALL (who married Thomas BALTCHLEY), and he
was the great grandfather of Geo. WASHINGTON. The connection of course is
from Abigail BLATCHLEY, and not Edward.
