Ball, Aaron b 1745-1835, enlisted 1776 as a private in Capt. Wm.
Brittons's Co. Morris Co. NJ militia (S-499) he was born in Connecticut
Farms; married Patty{?} Wade, died in Elizabeth, NJ

Ref#32:
Connecticut Farms was the "refuge" of the Fighting Parson of the
Revolution- Re. James Caldwell. It was a little village located four
miles from Elizabethtown, now Elizabeth, Union County, NJ. Source is "A

31Jan1787 - Aaron Ball, Elizabeth Town, adv. that all persons indebted to
him, towards the Singing School in Elizabeth Town, are desired to make
payment to Daniel Ross, Blacksmith of said place, with who the
subscriptions are left. New Jersey Journal, Elizabethtown.
19Sep1787 - This may certify that Mr. Aaron Thomson has taught school in
this vicinity upwards of two years and an half and has in all respects
walked worthy of the vocation of a Christian and a tutor of a school.

14May1788 - Henry Wade, Elder, Connecticut Farms, certifies to all
persons that Aaron Ball has at all times sought a pacific and living
conclusion of the differences which have subsisted between me and my
brother Deacon Wade...This is followed by a statement of Aaron Ball,
Connecticut Farms, that he has been slandered and stigmatized by a Deacon
of the Church at this place and a justice of the peace... New Jersey
Journal, Elizabethtown.
8Oct1788 - Aaron Ball adv. a vendue to be held on the 20th inst. at his
house in Connecticut Farms of horses, cattle and household furniture. New
Jersey Journal, Elizabethtown.
1Jul1789 - For sale, a small plantation in Connecticut Farms on the main
road from Elizabeth Town to Morristown, with new convenient buildings.
Apply to Aaron Ball, or in his absence to Nehemiah Ball in Connecticut
Farms. New Jersey Journal, Elizabethtown.
