Ref#36:
The record of Samuel Allen's marriage is in those of the First
Presbyterian Church of Morristown, NJ Part 2, pg.7. Record of death is
from NJ Historical Society Vol.I from Springfield NJ Presbyterian
Church. He was Artificer and Ensign in Revolutionary War, serving in Col
J. Baldwin's Regiment March 10th, 1776 - April 19th, 1777. Was in Battles
of Springfield, Princeton, Trenton, and Vaux Hall. Was given rank of
Captain when mustered out.
