George presumably died young probably before his grandfather, Ezekiel.
Notes
Ref#176:
GEORGE BALL
He was the son of Stephen and Sarah Ross Ball, probably their third
child. born about 1777 in Newark. He married Elizabeth Price of
Elizabethtown. N. J. Their children were Edward. who kept the toll
gate at Easton, Pa.; Stephen, a Methodist preacher in the West;
Phebe, who died suddenly at the age of twenty; Mathilda, who died
at twelve, and Archibald (born 1805, died l859, married Sarah Gibbs
Price).
George died young. presumably before his grandfather Ezekiel Ball,
whose will mentions "the sons of my grandson George." It is likely
that George was still in his twenties at the time of his death,
which would explain why so little information about his life can be
found. Archibald, his youngest son, may have been born after George's
death.
George's widow probably returned to her home in Elizabethtown with her
five young children after his death. Archibald seems to have lived
and died in that city.
