Notes

The Governor's daughter Mary became the wife of Deacon Azariah Crane, who
left his "silver bole" to be used by "the church in Newark forever," and
who appears to have outlived all the original settlers. Governor Treat's
"home-lott" was occupied by his daughter's descendants until the
beginning of the present century (1800).
