Ref#253:
Joseph Lyon (1658/60-15 Feb 1726) was born in Fairfield and died in
Newark. He married Mary Pierson, the daughter of Thomas & Mary
(Harrison) Pierson, Sr. Joseph m2d Sarah Brown (1652-94), daughter of
Joseph and Hannah (Freeman) Brown. Joseph Lyon and Mary had four
children: Abigail (c1685-); married c1704 Joseph Crane; Mary; Hannah
(c1704-) married Samuel Sayre; and Elizabeth (c1706-); married Daniel
Sayre. (The Sayres were 2d cousins.) Joseph and Sarah had one son:
Joseph (1711-).
